Role: Security Awareness Specialist
Location: Abu Dhabi
Type: Fulltime
We are looking for a skilled Security Awareness Specialist to lead initiatives that help strengthen our company’s overall security posture by increasing awareness and understanding of security protocols among employees.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain a security awareness program to educate employees on best practices for cybersecurity.
- Conduct regular security training sessions and workshops to reinforce safe online and operational behavior.
- Develop engaging content, including videos, newsletters, and presentations, to promote security awareness.
- Perform phishing simulations and other exercises to measure employee readiness and identify gaps.
- Collaborate with the IT and HR departments to ensure seamless communication of security policies and procedures.
- Monitor and analyze metrics to assess the effectiveness of the awareness program and recommend improvements.
- Stay up to date with emerging cybersecurity threats and ensure training materials reflect current risks.
- Advocate for a security-first culture across the organization by leading campaigns and promoting security awareness events.
- Coordinate with external vendors and consultants as necessary to improve training materials and programs.
- Provide reporting and insights to management on awareness program outcomes and employee engagement.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in security awareness training or a related field.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity tools and best practices.
- Experience conducting training sessions and phishing simulations.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity threats, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Ability to engage employees and drive behavioural change regarding security.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Any Cybersecurity certification is a plus
- Experience with security awareness platforms like KnowBe4 or Proofpoint.
